Toccoa Falls College is actually surrounded by national forest and has many different options for hiking including a two mile hike to the lesser known Contentment Falls located past the end of Beaver Dam Trail near the entrance to the path to Toccoa Falls.

Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or simply looking for a beautiful place for a picnic in Helen GA, this is a necessary spot to stop. For the more extreme of us there is the option to kayak or swim in the river at the bottom of the gorge. There is an amazing view from both the middle of the suspension bridge and the overlooks scattered around the park. There is a variety of levels of difficulty depending on your choice but nothing terribly strenuous. The park is kept in great shape year round with a variety of activities offered throughout the year such as night hikes or late night canoeing on Tallulah Lake.

Isabelle’s is a great option if you want a “home-cooked” southern meal and provides sweet tea that will give northerners something to dream about. Isabelle’s is located right off of the side of 441 if you are heading south through Tallulah Falls or on the left if you are heading north.
